This week, we’re thrilled to celebrate our Founder and CEO, Emilie Cushman! Emilie was named the 2017 recipient of the Geoff Taber Alumni Achievement Award by Next Canada at Venture Day 2017.
The award was renamed this year in honour of the late Geoff Taber, an Osler partner, and NEXT Canada supporter.
“Geoff Taber supported Kira since day one, and I am so thankful to have had the chance to work with him,” said Cushman. “I can’t believe it’s already been five years since myself and Konrad [Listwan-Ciesielski] were standing on this stage pitching Kira Talent back in 2012. What a journey it has been!"
Cushman shouted out our team, our investors, Next Canada and all those who have supported us thus far, with a special mention to John Kelleher, Co-Chair of Next Canada and Kira’s original Next 36 mentor and chairman.
